Shōji Ueda Office
Kein Korb, aber ein Basketball.
Ich fand dieses Foto im Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
Shōji Ueda (1913-2000) war ein japanischer Fotograf aus der Präfektur Tottori, westlich von Tokio. Bereits 1995 öffnete in Kishimoto das Shoji Ueda Museum of Photography.
Seine Lieblingskulisse waren die Sanddünen von Tottori.
“ The charm and ingenuity of these curious images has no parallel in the history of photography“, schreibt das Shōji Ueda Office. „His conception of this art form was closely linked to his sense of humour, to a highly special aesthetic approach, and to his enormous curiosity about the small things of everyday life.“
Ob sein Lieblingssport Basketball war, konnte ich leider noch nicht herausfinden. Ich vermute es aber 😉

in den 30er Jahren, als du noch nicht geboren warst, haben die chinesen schon ball gespielt. „Introduced to China over a century ago by YMCA missionaries just a few years after the game’s 1891 invention in Springfield, Massachusetts, basketball has seeped into the fabric of Chinese lives.“
